I’m Donna Schilling, and I’ve been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. As an introvert, I discovered that poetry was the best way for me to express my feelings—joy, anger, sadness, love, grief, and everything in between.
I’ve always enjoyed crafting playful rhyming birthday poems for family, friends, and even my bosses. Writing special pieces for my husband has brought both of us much joy. There’s something truly magical about seeing my words bring a smile or a tear, and I can’t wait to share my poetry with all of you.

My Little Poetry Shoppe opened on Etsy in the summer of 2022, and since then, I’ve had the pleasure of selling poems around the world, from England to Australia, Ireland to Canada. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m truly humbled by the heartfelt messages I receive. So many people have reached out to tell me how much comfort and peace they find in my grief poetry. That beautiful feedback was my inspiration to create my own website, Whispering Wind Poetry.
